Easter eggs traditions
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

To colour and decorate eggs for Easter celebration has a long tradition in Czechia and in more European countries.

Czech word for Easter decorated traditional eggs is "kraslice" - krása means in Czech beauty, in Russian krasnyj is red. In medieval times krása did not mean only beauty but also  glitter, shine or the colour of fire. So the naming might mean beautiful or colour radiant, shiny.

Today they are traditional technics of colouring as well as new ways of decorating the eggs.

  Traditional - from Moravia

Previously, the eggs were decorated with natural colors. The most important was always the red color, which protected from demons and represented love. The girl left the red-dyed egg for the boy she liked. Other natural colors then included brown, yellow, green and black. Most often, eggs were dyed using onion, beetroot, cabbage, oak or alder bark or lime blossom.

Waxed and engraved eggs
Basically, this is the traditional Easter technique of decorating, which was practiced by our grandmothers. With the help of a pinhead, beeswax is applied to the egg and beautiful ornaments are created. Then the egg is dipped in water and the dried wax is removed. Another technique is engraving or also scraping. The egg is stained with aniline or alcohol paint, and then various patterns are formed on it.

Beautifully look Easter eggs decorated in a way called decoupage.
It is about decorating with a napkin method. Do you have a cloth or napkin at home with a nice motif? Then be sure to try this method of decorating. Paint the egg with a light acrylic paint and apply a thin layer of glue to the place where you want to fix the cut out motif from the napkin. Attach the picture and gently stroke your fingers from the center outwards so that no creases and bubbles form. Then once again coat with a weak layer of glue and leave to dry.

Another creative way to decorate Easter eggs is through the use of silver or gold foil. Develop a so-called. "sprinkled eggs".

You will be able to use any color for eggs, glue and gold or silver foil. With help of UV gel.

But the traditional ones have the most beautiful and elaborate patterns. And tradition surely belongs to Easter.
