How to keep your computer running... and running..

Posted by M H on August 23, 2019 - 7:39am Edited 8/23 at 8:01am

Hello visitors,

first I have to tell you I am not an IT expert. Everything what I will write now
is my non-professional experience collected through a pretty long time.
Sometimes we go through really heavy times when starring at the screen.
Our PCs live their own life and windows - yes my comp runs on Windows -
do things which we don´t want to see ! At least this is sometimes my case...

I would like to stress that I am not affiliate of any of the programs I wil
speak about. My aim is only to write you what I do and use to keep my
comp running as long as possible.
Here is what I can recommend:
I use to get diffrent pro-versions of useful programs at

https://www.giveawayoftheday.com/

This site offers each day another program for free download, usually it is a lifetime pro version, sometimes it is limited to 6 or 12 month without technical support.
Most of the programs cost normally between 10 - 50 dollars. Read well the system requirements and the user comments before you decide to download, sometimes you can find out  there about some problems with the program.

Now which programs I use regularly:
I use program Wise Care 365® - PC Cleaning and Speed up Tool and I really like it.
http://www.wisecleaner.com/wise-care-365.html

I use also Process Lasso - Real-Time CPU Optimization and Automation
https://bitsum.com/
Shows the % of use of CPU and RAM

And the third one is
Advanced System Care from Iobit.com
https://www.iobit.com/en/advancedsystemcarefree.php

I would love to see your comments and something about your own experience
and recommendations as it will be helpful for a lot of MarketHive members !

                             Keep your computers healthy :-)

                                                          and be successful

                                                                       Margaret

M H Thanks, John, this might be a good idea.

M H It seems you are a lucky man, John. I never tried Linux though I considered it a long time ago... and I was afraid as total beginner to try it.

David Ogden Melody, you should look at Ubuntu again, it improves with each version and it free. There are also free office applications such as Libra Office, which can read and write to Microsoft Office. I also use Moneydance to control my finances
