G Pay, formerly Google Pay is a digital wallet for both online payment and in-store payment developed by Google.  It is one of the simplest, secure, INSTANT, cheapest, easiest and fastest way to send or receive money online both locally and internationally.

For many countries, there are no transaction or transfer fees and it is free of cost.  In the US, users have to pay a very low fee for transfers.

 

You can use G Pay if it's supported in your country and internationally as well.  As of now, you can use Google Pay to send money in the US and India. You can also use Google Pay in Australia, Canada, Japan, Russia, Singapore, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and many other countries.

Send money to family and friends

Google Pay is the easiest payment app to SEND and RECEIVE money. You don't need the bank account details of the person to whom you send the money.  If the name of the person to whom you send the money is SAVED to your contact list on your phone, then all you have to do is SEARCH for their NAME or their PHONE NUMBER.  Provided, the person is using G-Pay and has linked their phone number to Google Pay. Then enter the amount and click PAY.  That's it your payment is sent and the receiver would get the money instantly in his/her bank account .  Isn't that simple?

 

Send money to friends and family

  1. Open the Google Pay app.  SIGN UP HERE
  2. On the Pay screen. Find suggested friends. ...
  3. Tap the contact you want to pay.
  4. Tap Pay.
  5. Enter the amount. You can add a note. ...
  6. Tap Pay

 

You can also SEND and RECEIVE money JUST using a PHONE NUMBER.  Procedure just as above.

 

Payments on Ecommerce sites or in-store

For payments on ecommerce sites or in-store, you can SCAN the Google Pay code provided by the ecommerce site or in-store during checkout.  If the name of in-stores are saved to  your contact list, next time without scanning the code, you just need to SELECT the name of the store as it will be easily listed on your G-Pay Dashboard for RECENT transactions.

With participating websites and apps, you can use this Google Pay feature in Albania, Algeria, American Samoa, Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America, Uruguay and Vietnam.

Tip: Google Pay for iOS is only available in the US and India.

Tan Gerald Thanks for your feedback Joseph. As per Google Pay, above are the locations listed where you can use the app. But Google Pay for iOS is only available in the US.

Tan Gerald P Kay, I hope Google Pay is soon available in your country. You just only need the PHONE NUMBER or NAME of the person to whom you want to send money. So simple way of sending and receiving money in SECONDS. Thank you for your feedback Simon and P Kay
