This promotional vinyl was released in 1977 in the UK by Virgin Records. XTC’s Science Friction had “Science Friction” on the A-side and “She’s So Square” on the B-side. The seven-inch 45RPM vinyl was produced by John Leckie. Andy Partridge was credited as the writer on Science Friction.

There would be four other versions of this 7” vinyl, released in France, New Zealand, Germany, and Australia, all in 1977 and all on Virgin. XTC was formed in 1972 in Swindon, England, and it became popular during the 1970s’ rise of new wave and punk. The band retired in 2006.
