Vincent Forge Mansion is located in East Vincent Township in Chester County, Pennsylvania. The estate was built centuries ago in 1770, and it is a two-and-a-half-story stone home with a gable roof. The home was originally located on an iron forge, and it served as the ironmaster’s residence and office during.

The property operated as a forge until 1800. After that, it became a farmhouse and, in 1925, it was a Catholic boys’ summer camp. It was abandoned in the late 1970s, and it has struggled to find a buyer ever since. While Realtor.com calls it “charming” and “historic,” some Facebook sleuths allege it might be haunted by a ghost. Clearly the ghostly stories are enough to decay the market value.
In 1984, the National Register of Historic Places added it to its list. The NRHP lists buildings all over the country that are deemed important enough to preserve. The fact that it was built in 1770 is likely why it has been listed, and its alternative names, Kerry Dell Farm and Young’s Forge Mansion have also been listed.
