Most Valuable Collectors' Items in the World

98. Beatles Sgt. Pepper’s ‘Lonely Hearts Club’ Vinyl Record

Maker: UK Parlophone
Original Price: $8-$12* (New)
Worth Today: $290,500*

You can probably snag this vinyl for $30, but it won’t be the same, as this pricey Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club vinyl record is signed by all four Beatles themselves. The rare record sold for $290,500 at auction to an anonymous buyer from the Midwest. The record’s sale estimate was $30,000, so the bidding far exceeded that price.

The record-breaking sale was hosted by Heritage Auctions in Dallas, Texas. The UK Parlophone record had the original vinyl gatefold sleeve and high gloss cover, which is amazing, considering that it is over fifty years old. The record was released on May 26, 1967, and the signatures were made in June of 1967.

Simon Keighley Wow, the bid far exceeded the estimate due to being signed by all four Beatles - awesome album.
