10 Daily Habits of 6-Figure Entrepreneurs
Successful people have a vision for their lives and an unblinking focus on what needs to be done right now.
The major social media platforms get billions of users daily. The opportunity to reach them and tell them about your business is exciting. While this has opened many doors for us as entrepreneurs, it's also created a crutch. It's not uncommon for entrepreneurs to build their entire marketing strategy around posting on social media organically. You've probably seen a fellow entrepreneur posting constantly about their business. It repels potential leads.
Social media marketing should only be one part of a diverse and ever-evolving marketing plan for your business. Email marketing still works well. Media exposure grows businesses. Webinars, joint ventures, public speaking and many others ways help you market and grow your business.
Don't put all your eggs in the social media marketing basket.
The major social media platforms are publicly traded companies that have to make a profit for their shareholders. The way they do this is by always changing. If you build your foundation on their platforms, your business will suffer when they decide to make a change that benefits their bottom line.
Here are some habits successful leaders use to build outstanding businesses and create a life of freedom.
It's not uncommon for an entrepreneur to let the pull of family, responsibilities and pending tasks keep them from making themselves their first priority. You can't give what you don't have, and that's what too many of us try to do.
Most entrepreneurs start a business to have freedom and a life that's exciting. If you spend 95% of your time doing things for clients, potential customers, family and friends, life will feel like nonstop work.
You have to build in plenty of time each day to do some things you enjoy and help you grow as a high-performing human being. Maybe that means scheduling built-in self-care time and a block of your day to work on passion projects or learn new skills. No matter the method, high-achieving entrepreneurs understand that to be the best, they have to feel the best.
With evolving technology and incredible competition, it's time for you to level up, stop making excuses, and start moving through life with a sense of urgency like you know you're capable of. Less talk, more action.
Your ability to change your business -- and your life for that matter -- begins in the mind. Once you are able to make that first mental shift in what you focus upon, you can start to take the necessary actions that will turn your dreams into reality. However, this is where most entrepreneurs fail. They learn what steps are necessary, mentally prepare to take those steps, but ultimately fail to take action.
Let's face it, life is a game and it is all about the way you play it. In order to play a successful game in the new economy, you need to do more than just master your mindset to become a 6-figure earner.
It is now time for you to develop your brand new strategy that incorporates these crucial elements to help you start taking the actions necessary to become a 6-figure earner.
Habits and personal growth strategies are what fuel six and seven-figure entrepreneurs.
If you want to become a six-, seven- or even an eight-figure entrepreneur, your path to success lies in the habits you're building and living each day.
Create a vision so inspiring you can't stop thinking about it. In fact, make it so inspiring it keeps you wide awake at night. Keep your daily focus and thoughts on achieving this vision. Once you have truly sold yourself on your vision that is when the magic starts to happen.
Write down your goals by creating a specific plan inclusive of the exact dates each one will be achieved. To help you get started right this second, download my one-page productivity plan. Remember, your vision should resonate with your true passions and must be so compelling that it drives you to action each and every day. Once you have the this clear vision in mind, everything else will start falling in place naturally.
3. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.
Let me know if this sounds familiar — the first thing you see when you wake up is a notification on your phone from clients or those in your network that want to connect.
Your response tends to be to open the phone and start responding to those messages.
You then get up and go about everything else you need to do in the morning. Before you know it, most of the day is gone, and you haven't done what you wanted to in regards to securing new business.
Instead of this unproductive cycle, start your day with personal priority time, followed by a window in which you focus on 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲-𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀.
Don't respond to the urgent requests from others — even clients.
Use that time to focus on what will help grow your business.
Once you have your compelling vision, this should come naturally, but cannot be overstated -- do everything with a sense of urgency. From taking phone calls to making decisions to creating products and services, if it can be done today, get it done. Period.
Too many people wait on the sidelines to make a decision or make a move. What the hell are you waiting for? The time will never be just right.
Successful entrepreneurs are always thinking and doing actions that are two steps ahead of their competition.
If you are not moving with urgency then you are already ten steps behind. Once you are there, the Holy Grail of entrepreneurship then becomes getting your team to act with this same sense of urgency. Get them on board your bullet train, not stopping or slowing down for anything or anyone, and mountains can truly be moved.
5. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴.
Along the lines of focusing on revenue, successful entrepreneurs treat their time as their most valuable resource.
They are protective of every minute of their time and say no to most requests that involve a time commitment.
If you're going to build a successful business, you'll need to do the same.
As humans, we tend to have people-pleaser tendencies.
If you say yes too often, you won't have the time you need to accomplish your goals and work on building your business.
6. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.
It's common knowledge that you should break your goals down into bite-sized chunks to accomplish them.
But along with making your goals bite-sized, you have to focus on the long-term vision of what you're building.
It's easy to get lost in the here and now. Be strategic instead of being reactionary with your goals.
When you don't have a long-term plan, you'll spend most of your time confused about what to do, how you should do it and in what timeframe.
You have your vision and your sense of urgency, now apply that to everything.
Not just to your one big idea but to every idea you have. This is where the fun begins. I have to tell you that it is absolutely incredible the number of entrepreneurs I have met that have built not one but multiple successful businesses in less than 12 months and you can too.
Remember, the golden rule in business: "Cashflow is King". The average millionaire has seven different streams of income.
How many do you have?
8. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄.
Six-figure entrepreneurs value their time, so they optimize it through systems and automation.
Whether it's bringing together different software suites or hiring outsourced team members to take over tasks — they do what it takes to get tasks off their plate and into capable hands.
They use the available tools and technology in a strategic way to optimize the efforts they're making.
It's a great time to build a business if you're strategic, focused and committed to building healthy habits that support your goals.
You'll need marketing, sales, software and other things to scale a business, but success starts with your self-care and personal optimization.
Having multiple streams of income means that everything I do and put my name to is planned, well-thought-out, and executed with excellence.
Too many people put their name to mediocre and insanely useless material because it is easy. Don't do anything because it is easy. Pay attention to everything, you must be detailed oriented, and fiercely selective with what you choose to do and whom you choose to work with.
Everything must be cloaked with excellence.
If you have come this far, you are already ahead of the pack.
Now it is time to finish off the competition and distance yourself from others and more importantly from the person you were yesterday. This is one statement I cannot reiterate enough and you must believe it when I tell you that right now matters.
You know how short life is, so do not waste your valuable time wallowing or hanging out with those that do. Focus on what you need to accomplish right now to achieve your vision, and make every single minute and each day matter.
Track your progress and keep the wheels moving, in doing so mastery can be yours.
To your success!
